Bacalar is a Pueblo Mágico in southern Quintana Roo on the shore of a freshwater lagoon more than forty kilometers long, the Lagoon of Seven Colors, about four hours from Cancún airport (about 40 minutes from Chetumal airport). The best season to see the seven colors is November to March.
